I joined EME Hive for the live streaming, which I did very often. It was amusing to be able to interact with a community of people like me and I was able to be my raw self and more. I found it meaningful to invest time into EME Hive since it catered to Asians. When it comes to online dating, no one knows exactly what they want but it is a start to discovering what you want. Compared to other dating apps, EME Hive attracts users who are more cultural and/or know where they want to begin and this creates a commonality for all users on the app from the beginning. About 3 months into streaming, I met David.
I was actively on an EME live stream during my vacation in California. The very first time I joined David’s stream, I didn’t get a good impression of him. The second interaction, when he joined my stream and actively spoke to me, only made my idea of him worse. We had a misunderstanding and he deliberately messaged me on EME to engage in a conversation. In many ways I was uninterested but I was curious about what he wanted to say. We began conversing and my idea of him changed drastically. I was drawn in.
After over a month of getting to know each other through messages and FaceTime calls, David spontaneously decided to come meet me. After our first meeting, we quickly realized we wanted to be together.
To think that if I hadn’t streamed on EME, I would have never met David—someone I am now working with to build a future together and reach great heights. I am grateful for the live stream community on EME for the friendships I’ve made and my relationship with David. I often speak about this because live streaming is more than just talking to strangers—it is a little community. Friendships are created by getting to know your viewers every day.
